PICTURE OF THE YEAR BULGARIA 2011

On July 10, 2012 at the National Art Gallery, officially were announced the results of the tenth edition of the “Picture of the year – Bulgaria 2011″ and opened the exhibition with winners and admitted to the final round photos. In the tenth edition of the competition organized by Canon Bulgaria attended by more than 220 artists with over 1900 images. Among the participants were some of the most famous names in the photographic community in Bulgaria.

Jury Ivo Hadjimishev (Chairman), Maxim Minchev, Georgi Lozanov, Veneta Zaharieva, Boris Danailov and Yavor Popov selected nearly 160 works that will be displayed and exhibited at the National Art Gallery from 10 July to 15 August 2012

The competition for 2011 has been awarded prizes in three categories: the “Art Photography” for “Reportage photography” and “Photo Essay”.

Nomination in the section “Art Photography” received Radomira Perukova for the work “Lonely or not” .

World Pinhole Day 2012

Every year on the last Sunday of the month of April the World selebrаtes the . This year Bulgaria includes its own event – three day festival organized by the Bulgarian Photographic Society, Municipality Sevlievo, community centre “Development – 1870″ in Sevlievo. The program included a photo workshop for constructing a pinhole cameras and organize an exhibition of photographs of the participants.

Later the exhibition traveled to the city of Sofia and was seen in the gallery “Lastitsi” from 30 May to 4 June 2012. The exhibition ends in Varna, where from 30 July to 6 August 2012 was seen at the Festival and Congress Centre.

Two of the participants in this festival were Darin Mihaylov and Radomira Perukova.
